Johnson appeal date set by RFU

England captain Martin Johnson's appeal against the 35-day ban imposed on him last week will be heard in Coventry on Thursday night.

The three-man committee chaired by former England captain John Spencer, a solicitor, will hear the appeal.

The ban was imposed for three offences of foul play involving Johnson when he played for Leicester against Saracens in the Tetley's Bitter Cup quarter-final last month.
