Izzet's agent denies rumours

Muzzy Izzet's agent today denied suggestions that the Leicester player's move to Middlesbrough collapsed because he was asking for a £750,000 payout.

Jonathan Barnett was incensed to learn that his alleged financial demands had been pinpointed as the reason why Izzet's proposed £6 million switch broke down.

Barnett said: "There is simply no truth in this at all. The outcome is simple, Muzzy decided he did not want to go to Middlesbrough.

"It is farcical to even suggest that I told him not to go because I wanted £750,000."
