Iversen relief for Hoddle

Glenn Hoddle was today relieved that Tottenham striker Steffen Iversen does not have a broken jaw.

The Norwegian had X-rays after the club's 1-1 draw with Bolton on Saturday amid worries that his jaw had been broken during several head clashes in the first half of the game at the Reebok Stadium.

However, the X-rays showed his jaw was only bruised and Iversen, who had put Spurs in front in the eighth minute but was substituted at half-time, said: "Now I will look at how strong the pain is at training.

"But I expect to train as normal through the week."

Spurs were denied their fourth win over Bolton this season by a 71st-minute equaliser from Dean Holdsworth.
