Roger Clemens may have ended his illustrious baseball career on a low note as Houston Astros failed in their bid to reach the World Series.

The St Louis Cardinals won the decisive game of the National League Championship series 5-2 to set up a World Series final against the Boston Red Sox. The first game takes place at Boston's Fenway Stadium tomorrow night.

The Astros paraded veteran pitcher Clemens for the biggest game in the club's 43-year history. The task, though, proved too much for the 43-year-old and he may decide to retire.
