I'm poor, says struggling Clarke

Darren Clarke was downbeat going into today's opening round of the Tournament Players' Championship at Sawgrass in Florida.

The Ulsterman's recent fine form ought to have had the Ryder Cup star feeling in good health.

However, Clarke was brutally honest as he summed up the state of his game. "Somewhere between average and poor," he said. "I am struggling a little bit at the moment. I am going to have to spend a lot of time on the range and hopefully find something."
