Horner eyes stylish Vettel win

Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner is determined to see Sebastian Vettel wrap up this year's Formula One world title in style.

Vettel made it nine wins for the season with victory in Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix to move within a point of the championship. Only one driver can now stop Vettel, McLaren's Jenson Button who is 124 points adrift with only 125 available from the last five races.

"There are only two drivers left now, and it is one point, but it is not over until it is done," said Horner. "We will go to Japan with exactly the same approach as we have done in every race this year, to do our best and ensure we do get that one point - but also go for the race win as well."

He added: "It would be great to finish the job off in style at a track where Seb has thrived in recent years, and where the car has performed well. We have got ourselves into a great position and hopefully it will take care of itself."

It could prove to be a double whammy for Red Bull as they can also clinch their second successive constructors' crown in Japan.

The team need to hold a 172-point cushion over McLaren coming out of the race, with the gap at present 138.

It is conceivable as Webber was second last year, and also deprived pole-sitter and race-winner Vettel of F1's hat-trick by claiming the fastest lap at the death.

The Australian could only manage third in Singapore, finishing some distance behind Vettel, with the gap between them becoming ever larger.

In Webber's defence, Horner said: "He is up against the best driver in the world at the moment. Take nothing away from Mark, he is a world-class driver, it is just Sebastian has upped the level to such a phenomenal height.

"At a track that has not particularly suited him over the years, he did a really good job, making a couple of good passes on Fernando (Alonso). Rest assured, he will be pushing hard to win grands prix in the remaining five races."
