Celtic duo Gary Hooper and Emilio Izaguirre are two of the four nominations for PFA Scotland's Player of the Year award.

Striker Hooper and left-back Izaguirre have been crucial components of Neil Lennon's side, with Celtic top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League with seven matches remaining this season.

Rangers midfielder Steven Naismith will be hoping to beat Hooper and Izaguirre to the award while Kilmarnock playmaker Alexei Eremenko, who is on loan from Ukraine's Metalist Kharkiv, is the fourth nominee, having helped the Ayrshire side secure a top-six place this term.

Hooper is also among the nominees for PFA Scotland's Young Player of the Year.

The 23-year-old is joined in the shortlist by Dundee United's David Goodwillie, Aberdeen's Chris Maguire and Hearts winger David Templeton.

The winners will be announced at a dinner in Glasgow on May 1.
