Holloway has food for thought

13 April 2012

QPR manager Ian Holloway had to pay for his team's pre-match meal on his own credit card before last week's clash with Colchester.

Holloway, who has confirmed he will not be making any loan signings before next Thursday's transfer deadline day, is having to keep a tight budget in charge of a club in administration. He said:

"I've got two spare loan places, but no money to take them up and I'm under pressure to keep the budget down.

"I even had to pay for our pre-match meal. You have to ask about a bar of soap at this club. But people trust me, and I want this club to survive. I just hope someone buys it as soon as possible."
