Henman goes fourth

Tim Henman goes into today's Olympic tennis draw as the No4 seed despite having a worrying back problem.

Henman, who won a silver medal in the Olympic doubles with Neil Broad in Atlanta eight years ago, is ranked behind Wimbledon and Australian Open champion and world No1 Roger Federer, Andy Roddick and Carlos Moya.

Henman said: "Obviously with Roger enjoying such a good year he goes into the event favourite.

"Even though it's amazing enough to be a part of the Olympics, I'm not here just to make up the numbers.

"My back has been a bit stiff lately but as long as it doesn't get any worse over the next few days I should be able to compete without it hindering my performance. I can't wait to get started."

Justine Henin-Hardenne is top seed in the women's singles, with defending champion Venus Williams sixth.
