Henman and co handed Austria test

Great Britain must win in Austria to book their place back in the Davis Cup World Group.

Jeremy Bates' side were handed another continental trip in September's qualifiers after beating Luxembourg at the weekend.

And Britain face a tough test, with two Austrians currently ranked inside the top 100.

World number 59 Jurgen Melzer beat Tim Henman in the Miami Tennis Masters Series last month.

But Bates has fond memories of clashes with the Austrians, having racked up two wins himself in Britain's 3-1 win in their last meeting in Manchester in 1991.

Austria reached the Davis Cup semi-finals in 1990 but have struggled since the retirement of their greatest player and former world number one Thomas Muster.
