Haye eyes Klitschko showdown

12 April 2012

David Haye hopes to challenge Wladimir Klitschko for a world heavyweight title next year after agreeing a four-fight deal with Setanta Sports.

Undisputed cruiserweight champion Haye will step up a division with two fights against top 10-ranked opponents before looking to claim Klitschko's WBO and IBF belts.

"He (Klitschko) said that if I'm ranked high enough, there's no reason why it can't happen," said Haye.

"I'll fight two top-10 heavyweights and obliterate them. I'll show the world what heavyweight boxing really can be. Right now it's a disgrace."

All four of Haye's fights will be staged at the O2 Arena, with the Setanta deal running until 2009.

It was also announced that Hayemaker Promotions have agreed a five-year partnership with Golden Boy Promotions.
