Hammers reach fourth round

West Ham defeated Brighton 3-0 at Upton Park to book a place in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Recalled Mark Noble and Carlton Cole were on target at the start of the second half to put the tie beyond the Coca-Cola League One side, with Hayden Mullins adding a third in stoppage time.

Manager Alan Curbishley had made several changes following a poor run in the Barclays Premiership, with no place in the squad at all for reported Tottenham target Nigel Reo-Coker.
