want to sign striker Louis Saha but have been forced to delay their approach after he aggravated a knee injury.


Saha, who has endured a torrid time with injuries at Old Trafford, is available for a knockdown fee of around £3million.

Everton and Sunderland have also enquired but sources in France say he has his heart set on a move to either London or Paris St Germain.

Meanwhile, West Ham look to have priced Dean Ashton out of a move to Tottenham after valuing him at £18m.

With Robbie Keane joining Liverpool and Dimitar Berbatov still earmarked for a move to Manchester United, Spurs boss Juande Ramos singled out Ashton as a potential replacement, but was only prepared to pay up to £14m for the striker.
