Hammers discuss Adriano deal

12 April 2012

West Ham have entered into talks with Inter Milan over the possibility of signing Brazil striker Adriano.

The 25-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at the San Siro after a loss of form in the last 12 months and his club are keen for him to gain some first-team experience.

"West Ham can confirm we are holding talks with Inter Milan over striker Adriano," said a statement on the club's website, www.whufc.com.

"The figures that have been quoted in the media are inaccurate as the possible deal is in its early stages and money has not yet been discussed.

"The club are investigating the possibility of a loan deal at this stage."

Adriano has indicated he would be willing to leave Inter but only on a permanent deal.

The Brazilian has been linked with Manchester City but it appears the Hammers have been more proactive in an attempt to bring the player to the Premier League.
