Hamann misses out

Germany will be without four key players for their World Cup qualifier against Finland on 6 October.

Dietmar Hamann, Thomas Linke, Mehmet Scholl and Alexander Zickler were missing when coach Rudi Voller named his 20-man squad today.

Liverpool's Hamann is suspended after picking up a yellow card in the 5-1 hammering by England earlier this month. Bayern Munich's Linke, Scholl and Zickler are injured.

Midfielders Ber ndt Schneider and Lars Ricken have been brought in for the match in Gelsenkirchen.
