Groundshare deal set for completion

Leo Spall13 April 2012

Queens Park Rangers expect to complete a groundshare agreement with Fulham for next season by the end of the week.

The deal will involve London Wasps being paid to move out of Loftus Road. They are expected to play at Wycombe's Adams Park ground.

Fulham want to use QPR's stadium while their Craven Cottage home is redeveloped into a 30,000-seat stadium.

Brentford chairman Ron Noades made a bid to the administrators running Rangers to buy Loftus Road last December but it is unlikely to be accepted.

His plan included Wasps, QPR and Brent-ford playing at Loftus Road, which the local authority, Hammer-smith and Fulham Council, is unlikely to permit.

Rangers chief executive David Davies said: "We are looking at all the alternatives but we are working to bring the negotiations with Fulham to a conclusion as soon as possible."
