Grand Prix 2002: Jordan

13 April 2012

Jordan sport an all-new driver line-up this season, although in the case of Italian Giancarlo Fisichella it is more a case of returning home to the team he drove for in 1997. Japan's Takuma Sato makes his Formula One debut for the team, who have cut a few staff but former technical director Gary Anderson returns as race engineering head. Courier company DHL take over as title sponsor from cigarette brand Benson and Hedges.

Back at Jordan after his time with Benetton, Fisichella is another of F1's perennial under-achievers. Has come agonisingly close to winning races, only to blow out at the last minute. Could be set to finish on the podium several times now he has Honda power.

Fastest laps: 0

Hard working Takuma Sato has been given his chance by team boss Eddie Jordan. Was a test driver for BAR last season, but now he could make his mark as a fully-fledged driver.
