Germany star Mario Gomez linked with shock transfer to Fulham and Arsenal

Fulham have been linked with an ambitious move for German international forward Mario Gomez.


Arsenal, who are in Germany to face his club Stuttgart in a pre-season friendly today, are also reported to have held talks with representatives of the 23-year-old.

Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson has already bought striker Bobby Zamora from West Ham and is expected to complete the signing of Everton goalscorer Andy Johnson.

Big things were expected of Gomez before Euro 2008 but he was overshadowed by team-mate Lukas Podolski and failed to score.

However Fulham have agreed a fee of around £15million with the German club according to The Sun.
