Games no go for Tiago

Chelsea's Portuguese midfielder Tiago returns to Stamford Bridge today for treatment on a groin injury.

Tiago has been forced to pull out of Portugal's Olympic squad because of the recurring injury that will sideline him for the start of the season.

The 23-year-old, who was signed from Benfica last month, has yet to make his Chelsea debut but will at least have the opportunity to get to know his new team-mates as the club's preparations for the coming season intensify.

Chief executive Peter Kenyon said: "We've had notification from the Portugal Olympic squad that he's coming back for treatment.

"He didn't play for us in America as he was nursing an injury and is on his way back."
