Freddie is voted best midfielder

Freddie Ljungberg has been named Sweden's midfielder of the year.

Ljungberg won the vote after playing a significant role in Arsenal's 49-game unbeaten Premiership run, during which the Gunners won the league title.

Spurs left-back Erik Edman was named defender of the year after moving from Dutch club Heerenveen in the summer.

Former Celtic striker Henrik Larsson, now at Barcelona, won the top accolade of Swedish player of the year for the second time in his career.
