Former top official is jailed

The former president of USA Boxing has been sentenced to more than 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to sex abuse charges in Portland, Oregon.

Jerry Dusenberry, 62, pleaded guilty in Multnomah County Circuit Court to criminal conduct with four separate victims.

Dusenberry had worked with many youth groups as a volunteer and employee since 1959.

He was elected president of USA Boxing, the organisation that governs Olympic boxing in the United States, and was a judge at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992.
