Force is with Coulthard in Monaco

David Coulthard will have the force with him at Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix where his Red Bull car will carry backing from Revenge of the Sith, the sixth and final instalment in the Star Wars series

George Lucas, the film's director, will be a pit lane guest of Red Bull when Coulthard aims to maintain his team's record of consistency in scoring points in all five rounds of the world championship held so far.

Coulthard said: "I've twice won at Monaco and drove one of the best laps of my life to take pole position there, so I see no reason why we shouldn't be able to finish in the points."

With Jenson Button's BAR team banned from the race over allegations of cheating, Coulthard will be the only British driver on Sunday's grid.

The Scotsman expressed sympathy for his close friend and fellow Monte Carlo resident, saying: "I'd love to go to the Monaco Grand Prix and hang out, but I know how good it feels to be on the track.

"Jenson is going to be well fed up because no amount of fun off the track ever replaces the feeling of driving a good lap in a Grand Prix car."
