Dominic Inglot and his Croatian partner Franko Skugor plan to watch Wednesday’s match before putting their football rivalry aside in a bid for men’s doubles glory.

Inglot and Skugor are into the semi-finals at Wimbledon and will play seventh seeds Mike Bryan and Jack Sock on Thursday.

Inglot is a passionate England supporter and has said he is “going to be up in the face” of Croatian fan Skugor, a more “relaxed and chilled” character, during the World Cup semi-final tonight. Inglot and Skugor beat Robin Haase and Robert Lindstedt 6-3, 6-7, 7-6, 6-4 yesterday.

Elsewhere in the men’s doubles, Jamie Murray and his Brazilian partner Bruno Soares are out after they lost to 13th seeds Raven Klaasen and Michael Venus.

Murray will now focus on defending his mixed doubles title with Belarusian Victoria Azarenka.
