Laurent Blanc not signing France contract yet

10 April 2012

The French Football Federation have dismissed a report claiming Laurent Blanc will today finalise his deal to become the new national team coach.

Blanc will boss the France team after the World Cup, when Raymond Domenech leaves the role, and a deal has been agreed between his club Bordeaux and the FFF.

The newspaper Le Parisien this morning reported 44-year-old Blanc would put the finishing touches to the agreement today, however the FFF denied the claim.

In a statement, they said: "The FFF formally dismisses the information spread by certain media that Laurent Blanc will today sign his contract as France coach."
