17 September 2012

Millwall today completed the loan signing of forward Chris Wood on a two-month deal from West Brom.

The 20-year-old has initially joined until November 20 and could make his debut against Cardiff at The Den tomorrow night.

Wood, a New Zealand international with 27 caps, played at the 2010 World Cup and scored a hat-trick against Millwall for Birmingham last season.

He has also had loan spells with Barnsley, Brighton and Bristol City. West Brom have the option to recall him after 28 days.

Woods said: “I’m not in the first team picture at West Brom so I’m dying to start playing regular football once again.

“In January I will give some thought to my longer-term future but for now I’m just looking forward to playing for Millwall and hopefully scoring some goals.”
