England internationals Fran Kirby and Lucy Bronze are among the 15 players nominated for the inaugural Women's Ballon d'Or award.
Kirby was one of the star performers in the Women's Super League last season with Chelsea, winning the double with her club and individually was named the PFA Women's Player of the Year award.
Bronze, 26, has excelled playing for England and was also part of the Lyon side that won the Women's Champions League.
The pair were picked for the award by France Football, the host of the awards ceremony, along with Women's Best award winner Marta, who won the former Fifa World Player of the Year award six times.
Both players are key members of England Women's coach Phil Neville's squad and are poised to go to the 2019 World Cup in France.
"I think this is probably our moment really, where it can explode," Neville said.
"I say to everyone at the FA (Football Association), that the only way the game can explode is if an England team is successful - and that means winning."
