Who will win the Premier League title after Arsenal and Tottenham share the points at White Hart Lane?

James Benge5 March 2016

Arsenal and Tottenham played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane but as Michael Oliver signalled full-time it became abundantly clear there was a winner on derby day.

Leicester head into tonight’s clash away to Watford two points ahead Spurs but able to establish an even more commanding lead with just nine games remaining in the domestic title campaign.

It could all have been so very different for Arsenal had it not been for the sending off of Francis Coquelin. On 55 minutes they were leading 1-0 and beginning to impose themselves on a Spurs side that seemed to be wilting under the pressure of their status as favourites.

Within seven minutes Spurs were then leading after goals from Toby Alderweireld and Harry Kane, seemingly on course for the top of the table.

Though Arsenal could find themselves eight points off top spot by tonight it will likely be Tottenham who are the more frustrated of the two after they failed to hold on against 10 men, Alexis Sanchez striking in the 76th minute to secure a point.

With both north London sides having taken just one point from two games this week is the title now Leicester’s to lose? And are the Manchester sides back in the race?
