West Ham want input from supporters as they decide on a ‘kit to remember’ for their final season at the Boleyn Ground before they move to the Olympic Stadium in 2016.

After more than 110 years at their Upton Park home, the 2015-16 season will be West Ham’s last before their big move and the club are planning to launch a special commemorative kit.

They have been in consultation with supporters about how best to bow out before moving to the new 54,000-seater stadium and are now asking fans for their personal favourites and stand-out kits from the past. Supporters have been asked to send in their memories and pictures of their favourite strips to form part of the final season commemorations and they will go towards forming a final record of all the home shirts worn over the past century, which West Ham will use to tell the club’s history around their new home.

West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady said: “We want to make sure our final season at the Boleyn Ground is a memorable one, which is why it is so important that we involve our supporters in the planning from an early stage.

“We have already seen thousands of fans share their memories and we now are asking for their favourite kits from West Ham’s past. I’m sure our fans will once again offer some interesting insight on their favourite kits, whether it be due to the favourite player, a memorable match or even the first time they visited the Boleyn Ground.

“The commemorative final season kit is one that every West Ham player will want to wear and we’re determined to make sure it pays fitting tribute to our history at the Boleyn Ground.”
