West Ham the busiest club as Arsenal and Tottenham suffer deadline day frustration

Vaishali Bhardwaj1 September 2015

West Ham were busy securing four signings while across London both Arsenal and Tottenham missed out on targets and ended the day empty-handed.

The Hammers brought in Nikica Jelavic from Hull for £3million, while Victor Moses and Alex Song arrived on season-long loan deals. The purchase of Michail Antonio from Nottingham Forest for a fee believed to be in the region of £7million completed their business as they took their summer signings tally to 13.

Across the capital, however, it was another story as Saido Berahino's summer-long transfer saga reached a difficult conclusion. Spurs reopened transfer talks with the Baggies on deadline day despite a public hands-off warning from chairman Jeremy Peace last week. The clubs, however, could not agree a deal and Berahino took to his Twitter page to hit out at Peace for blocking the move.

For the best of the deadline day deals and disasters across the capital, Vaishali Bhardwaj has your evening report.
