West Ham have issued a series of fitness updates on several members of Slaven Bilic's first-team squad.

Saturday's 1-1 draw against Everton came at a cost for the Hammers as summer signing Dimitri Payet suffered an ankle injury that is set to keep the midfielder out of action for at least three months.

But the Frenchman was not the only player to suffer a setback against Roberto Martinez's side as Enner Valencia also had to be withdrawn with ankle an complaint.

The Ecuador striker is set to be assessed on Monday, according to the club's head of medical and sports science Stijn Vandenbroucke, when the full extent of his problem will be discovered.

West Ham played a behind-closed-doors friendly against Crystal Palace this afternoon and Alex Song, who is yet to feature for the first-team since the start of his second loan spell at Upton Park, came through unscathed.

"Alex Song played 70 minutes without any problems, which was a good step in the right direction as it was his first game in six months," Vandenbroucke told the club's official website.

Diafra Sakho has stepped up his recovery and the club's medical staff are confident he will be able to return following the conclusion of the international break while Pedro Obiang and Reece Oxford are both continuing their own personal fitness programmes.

"Sakho has been out running on the pitch this week and we are very confident we can recover him from his quadriceps injury for the trip to Tottenham, should he not suffer any setbacks.

"Obiang is continuing with his own rehabilitation following the quadriceps injury he suffered in training before the Watford game.

"Oxford has had some significant development over the last few weeks. We have been working with him to prepare him for the demands of the Premier League.

"He is obviously a big talent and it is my responsibility to protect him, along with the responsibility of the manager, who is fully on board with how we are managing Reece.

"He is away with England Under-19s now and will be involved in their matches with Holland and Japan."

West Ham's next Premier League fixture is against Spurs at White Hart Lane on Sunday November 22.
