Watford vs Chelsea: Vote for your man of the match after the Blues were held

Chelsea were left frustrated by a fantastic Heurelho Gomes performance as Watford escaped with a 0-0 Premier League draw at Vicarage Road on Wednesday.

The Hornets started brightly and should have gone ahead through top scorer Odion Ighalo, but the striker somehow missed an unmarked header from close range in a rare lack of composure.

The visiting champions grew into the game in the second half, though Gomes was equal to everything Guus Hiddink’s men could throw at him.

The keeper was alert to tip a deflected drive from John Obi Mikel over his own bar, and also denied the lively Oscar with a strong stop from the midfielder’s rising drive.

Gomes then stopped Branislav Ivanovic with a superb point-blank save, and saved the best for last with a stunning one-handed save from Diego Costa – also impressive on the night – after the Spaniard thought his header had won the game.
