Beppe Sannino was happy with his experimental side after Watford beat Stevenage 1-0 last night.

Sannino made nine changes and switched to a 4-4-2 formation, giving debuts to Keith Andrews and Odion Ighalo.

“We are working hard in training on our formations so it was good for me to see other players and other ways for us to do the job,” said the manager. “We want to do well in the cups because it is good for the squad to have more time on the pitch. It was good to see us defend well and, in the second half, [Lloyd Dyer] took his chance well.”
