Watford supporters have slammed the decision to move next month’s Premier League game against Everton at Goodison Park to a Friday night.

The game has been rescheduled because Chelsea’s involvement in the FA Cup has forced their game against Watford to be rearranged to Monday, May 15.

And as neither club can play matches on both Saturday and Monday, their fixtures have been moved to the Friday night.

While Chelsea’s match at West Bromwich Albion on May 12 will be televised, Watford’s game at Goodison Park will not.

The switch has led to some Watford fans describing the move as "disgraceful".

The match has a 7.45pm kick-off but the last train back from Liverpool to Watford that night leaves at 8.48pm.

It means that travelling supporters will have to pay for an overnight stay in Liverpool or make the 400-mile round trip by car.

A win for Walter Mazzari’s side against Swansea at Vicarage Road tomorrow will see the Hornets reach the 40-point mark.
