New Watford boss Gianfranco Zola has lined up a sensational double swoop for Filippo Inzaghi and Alessandro Del Piero.
The Italian legends are both free agents and the move has been backed by the Hornets’ new owners, the Pozzo family.
Inzaghi parted company with AC Milan this summer after they decided not to renew his contract. Reading are also said to be interested in the 38-year-old striker.
Del Piero, 37, has left Juventus after two decades in Turin but it is understood that he wants to play for a top-flight club.
