Slavisa Jokanovic’s future at Watford remains uncertain three weeks after leading the club into the Premier League.

The Serbian s in talks over a new contract but he is yet to reach an agreement on an extension, with his wage demands one reason behind the delay.

The 46-year-old’s current deal expires this summer but he wants to stay at Vicarage Road and has said he would be “very happy” to sign a new contract.

Watford remain hopeful Jokanovic will stay but the delay will be a concern for Watford supporters, with Newcastle and Sunderland reportedly monitoring his situation as they weigh up their managerial options for the summer.
