Romanian playmaker Vlad Dragomir still hopes to extend his stay at Arsenal despite the club confirming his exit once his contract expires on Saturday.
Dragomir, 19, was among the names on a list of players set for release published by the club earlier on Friday, along with first-team players such as Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere and the retiring Per Mertesacker.
Arsenal had offered Dragomir an extension and his agent, Catalin Sarmasan, confirmed to Romanian media that the youngster could yet remain at the club.
“It’s true that the contract with Arsenal is over tomorrow,” he said. “We are in negotiations with the club, I do not know what list they posted on the official site.

“It is premature to talk about offers from other teams.”
Dragomir arrived with much fanfare in the summer of 2015, when the Gunners beat Inter Milan to his signature, but struggled to establish himself in Arsene Wenger’s first-team or in the plans of his successor Unai Emery.
Though he played in 20 of the Under-23’s 22 games during their Premier League 2 winning season he did not feature with the senior squad, the nearest he came to tasting competitive action coming when he was named on the bench for a Europa League group stage tie at BATE Borisov.
