Villarreal XI vs Liverpool: Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for Champions League today

Villarreal boss Unai Emery will be hoping Giovani Lo Celso can shine once again in tonight’s Champions League semi-final clash against Liverpool.

The on-loan Tottenham man has been in impressive form, particularly in the previous round against Bayern, and starts once again for the Spanish side.

Gerard Moreno sustained a muscle injury in the LaLiga win over Getafe earlier this month and is set to be sidelined until May, so he once again misses out for the visitors.

Arnaut Danjuma, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool, will need to step up in his absence, with Nigerian Samuel Chukwueze also capable of causing Liverpool real problems.

Former Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin recently returned to training in a boost for Emery and starts in midfield, alongside Etienne Capoue and Dani Parejo.

Starting XI: Rulli, Foyth, Albiol, Torres, Estupinan, Parejo, Capoue, Coquelin, Danjuma, Lo Celso, Chukwueze

Subs: Asenjo, Jorgensen, Gaspar, Alcacer, Iborra, Trigueros, Dia, Pena, Mandi, Gomez, Pedraza, Aurier
