Victor Wanyama on Arsenal hit-list

22 January 2013

Arsenal are reportedly considering making a move for Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama.

The Kenyan midfielder is rated at £25million by the Scottish giants but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has identified him as the ideal man to bolster their midfield options, according to the Independent.

Arsenal have watched the 21-year-old extensively and he has also attracted interest from Manchester United and Fulham.

Celtic are attempting to tie Wanyama down to a long-term contract, although the player still has two years to run on his current deal.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon said last week: "If a bigger and more productive club came in and the offer is right then we will seriously look at it.

"I don't want to stop their progress. I will shake his hand and say 'good luck to you son'. Just so long as we get about £25million."
