West Ham have contacted the representatives of Bournemouth striker Josh King as they look to replace Felipe Anderson.

The Hammers, who are yet to make a formal offer to the Championship side, agreed to loan Anderson - one of the top earners at the London Stadium - to Porto for the season on Tuesday and are now in the market for a replacement before the domestic window closes on October 16.

There has been interest in Brentford's Said Benrahma, who is available at around £25million, but with King having less than one year on his contract at the south coast, Bournemouth would consider offers of £10-15million for the Norway international.

King, who almost joined Manchester United in the final days of the January transfer window, had been keen on a move to a Champions League club but no such opportunities have yet materialised.

Anderson's move to Portugal for the season, as well as an agreement with Jack Wilshere to terminate is £100,000-a-week contract in east London, has freed up funds to push for signings, with a defender still on manager David Moyes's wishlist.

The 28-year-old, who has 48 caps for his country, has bags of Premier League experience having scored 48 goals in 161 top flight appearances.
