West Ham have made an approach for Chievo striker Cyril Thereau, who has four Serie A goal this term. (The Times)

Palace to watch Riviere

Crystal Palace will send a scout to watch Monaco’s Emmanuel Riviere play in a French Cup tie tomorrow before making a bid for the striker. Stoke are also interested in Riviere, who Monaco value at £6m. (Daily Mail)

Fulham’s approach for Defour

Fulham have started talks over Belgium midfielder Steven Defour. Porto want £6.5m but Fulham are keen on a loan deal with a permanent agreement in the summer if they stay up. (Daily Telegraph)

Stoke are sold on Holtby

Stoke will try to buy Spurs’ Lewis Holtby. A loan deal is not possible as the club are up to their limit. (Daily Mail)
