Mauricio Pochettino has backed Pep Guardiola to light up the Premier League.

Guardiola is expected to move to England at the end of the campaign, when he will leave Bayern Munich.

Pochettino and Guardiola were opponents in La Liga, when Pochettino was at Espanyol and Guardiola at Barcelona, so the Argentine is aware of Guardiola’s qualities.

He said: “The Premier League is the best league in the world and Guardiola is one of the best managers in the world.

“In the last few years, he has won a lot of titles with Barcelona and Bayern. It’s exciting if in the end he comes to the Premier League.”
