Tottenham have been handed a blow after forward Heung-min Son suffered a suspected broken arm during South Korea's 3-2 defeat to Qatar on Tuesday night.
The 24-year-old was substituted off in the 34th minute of the World Cup qualifier in Doha after landing awkwardly following an aerial challenge with Qatar's Mohammed Musa.
Son, who scored 21 goals in all competitions for Spurs last season, received medical treatment on the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium pitch as he clutched his lower right forearm before walking off with the medical staff.
Tottenham do not yet know the full extent of Son's injury, but he is set to face a race to be fit in time for the club's pre-season preparations which begin on July 3.
Spurs will then travel to America later in the month to take part in the International Champions Cup where they will play Paris Saint-Germain, Roma and Manchester City.
Son's injury will also be a blow to South Korea, who sit in second place in their World Cup qualifying group on 13 points - seven behind leaders Iran and just one above third-placed Uzbekistan.
The nation next play Iran on 31 August.
