In-form Tottenham forward Heung-min Son has shown a 'perfect attitude' this season and looks like a better option than Vincent Janssen to fill the void of Harry Kane, according to Jamie Redknapp.
Spurs are set to be without Kane for the foreseeable future after the striker suffered an ankle ligament injury earlier this month, the extent of which is still not known.
Janssen led Mauricio Pochettino's line against Middlesbrough at the weekend but it was Son who made the difference in front of goal, scoring twice to take his Premier League tally for the season to four.
Son came close to leaving White Hart Lane in the summer, before being persuaded to stay put, and Redknapp has praised the attitude the South Korean has shown during the early stages of the campaign.
"At the start of the season it looked like Tottenham were going to sell Heung-min Son," Redknapp told the Daily Mail.
"There was always a big worry about who was going to fill the void if Harry Kane got injured and Spurs bought Vincent Janssen to ease the burden on the striker.
"Son could have come back sulking this summer but he has shown the perfect attitude, scoring four goals including a brilliant brace at Middlesbrough.
"He's looking a better option than Janssen and, as the table shows, Son is finally starting to show he can be the player to lift some of the pressure from Kane's shoulders" Redknapp added.
Son's rich vein of form is likely to make him a candidate to start when Spurs travel to CSKA Moscow tomorrow night and the 24-year-old is grateful Pochettino convinced him to stay and fight for his place in N17.
