Mauricio Pochettino's half-time team talk which inspired Tottenham to knock Manchester City out of the Champions League has been revealed.

A remarkable game saw Spurs scored three times at the Etihad Stadium to deny Pep Guardiola & Co. on away goals after Raheem Sterling's match-winning hat-trick goal was overturned by VAR.

Journalist Julien Laurens spoke to Moussa Sissoko after the game and the midfielder, who had been withdrawn through injury before the break, relayed Pochettino's words.

"He said the words Pochettino used at half-time were key," Laurens told BBC 5 live.

"Pochettino said: 'Don't panic. We will have a chance. We can still do this, but be ready to suffer in the second half because they're going to put more and more and more pressure [on]. Don't panic.

"'Try to stay compact, defend well and stay organised. Then we will have a chance.'"

Sissoko missed the drama in second-half injury time after staying in the dressing room, having heard the home crowd cheer Sterling's goal only to be told Spurs were through by a backroom staff member.
