Harry Kane has taken his first steps back from injury after taking part in some light warm weather training.

The Tottenham star suffered an ankle ligament injury in the closing stages of Tottenham’s defeat to Manchester United in mid-January.

Spurs have confirmed their striker is expected to be sidelined until early March as a result of the injury but the 25-year-old has offered supporters a positive update of sorts.

Having seemingly headed to warmer surroundings as a cold snap hits London, Kane has posted a video undergoing some light exercises as part of his rehabilitation, moving relatively comfortably in the process.

In Kane’s absence, Spurs have crashed out of both the FA Cup and the EFL Cup although a midweek victory over Watford in the Premier League has moved Mauricio Pochettino’s side back to within two points of second place Manchester City.

Fernando Llorente has led the line in his departure, scoring an injury-time winner in Wednesday’s victory over the Hornets.
