Dele Alli has not been included in Tottenham's starting line up for this afternoon's Premier League fixture against Watford at White Hart Lane.

The midfielder was withdrawn during the midweek victory over Norwich due to dizziness and has only been deemed fit enough for the bench today.

Meanwhile, Kevin Wimmer has been paired with Toby Alderweireld in the centre of defence.

Much of Spurs' new-found defensive solidity has been built around the latter's partnership with Jan Vertonghen, who is facing two months out, but Wimmer has stepped up to the plate so far.

Alli's absence means that Christian Eriksen is set to start in his preferred number 10 role while Nacer Chadli's recent good form has been enough to secure a place in midfield.

The Hornets secured a respectable draw against Chelsea in midweek but have lost their last two Premier League fixtures away from home.

The visitors will hope such a record will be brought to an end this afternoon with Odion Igahlo set to lead their line.

Captain Troy Deeney misses out but former Spurs midfielder Etienne Capoue will feature in the centre of the park on his return to White Hart Lane.
