Tottenham vs Arsenal Player Ratings: Harry Kane shines as Francis Coquelin lets the Gunners down

Sam Long5 March 2016

Tottenham missed the chance to temporarily move to the top of the Premier League table after being held to a 2-2 draw by Arsenal at White Hart Lane this afternoon.

The early exchanges were frantic and David Ospina got down low to deny Erik Lamela from close range while Harry Kane also had a couple of promising early efforts.

But Arsenal look the lead when an onrushing Hector Bellerin was picked out at the back post and the Spaniard played the ball inside to Aaron Ramsey, who flicked home courtesy of a superb back heel.

Spurs struggled to carve out chances in the first half but received a gift wrapped route back into the game when Francis Coquelin was sent off for a second bookable offence in the 55th minute.

Toby Alderweireld poked home an equaliser from close range when a corner was only partially cleared and Mauricio Pochettino's side smelt that the game was theirs for the taking.

Kane curled home a superb effort from the edge of the penalty area to send the Spurs faithful into raptures but Alexis Sanchez got the Gunners back into the game soon after, despite the hosts' numerical advantage.

Spurs are likely to be disappointed not to have claimed all three points while Arsenal have answered a few questions about their character.

But who impressed in the north London derby and who had an afternoon to forget? Watch our player ratings video above to find out.
