Tottenham v Sunderland - player ratings

Standard Sport assesses the individual Tottenham performances from their 5-1 victory over Sunderland at White Hart Lane.

Spurs fell behind after an unforced error from Vlad Chiriches. The Romanian received the ball from Hugo Lloris before playing a lazy ball square into the path of Lee Cattermole, who rattled the opener past a scampering Lloris.

The hosts responded 11 minutes later when Emmanuel Adebayor turned Christian Eriksen's cross home before Harry Kane completed the comeback with a goal on his full Tottenham Premier League debut.

Eriksen - who created both previous goals - then turned scorer when his low drive got the better of Vito Mannone. Adebayor helped himself to a late second, before Gylfi Sigurdsson sealed the rout in stoppage time. Basement club Sunderland remain rooted with time running out.
