Humbling: Liverpool outclassed their hosts at White Hart Lane
GETTY

Standard Sport assesses the individual performances from Liverpool’s 3-0 win against Tottenham at White Hart Lane, as the Reds cruised to a comfortable win.

All the talk before the game was about Mario Balotelli, but it was Raheem Sterling who stole the show, and it was he who put Liverpool in front after just eight minutes when he tapped home Jordan Henderson's cross.

The visitors then doubled their lead when Steven Gerrard scored a penalty in the 49th minute after Joe Allen had been brought down by Eric Dier.

Alberto Moreno further underlined Liverpool's superiority when he scored an excellent solo goal with an hour gone, as Spurs had no answer to the pacy Liverpool counter-attacks.
