Tottenham are interested in signing Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne in the summer, according to Italian sporting director Pietro Lo Monaco.

Lo Monaco is without a club but has close links with Napoli and claimed: “I know for certain that Pochettino really likes Insigne. As a wide forward, Insigne is a complete player.”

Insigne, 24, has been a key figure in an excellent season for Napoli, helping them to second in the table, three points behind Juventus.

Despite his fine form, though, Insigne is not certain of a place in Italy coach Antonio Conte’s final 23-man squad for Euro 2016 this summer.

Tottenham are keen to bolster their attacking options once the summer window opens, after missing out on moves for Saido Berahino and Fulham star Moussa Dembele in January.
